Thomas Kraus

Tom is a mechanical engineer by training with degrees from Cornell and MIT. His keen interest in gardens and landscaping resulted from his extensive business travels throughout the world and his purchase of a stately Queen Anne Victorian home built in 1887. Tom and his wife have faithfully restored the house, barn and grounds. Among many landscape projects, he has built stone walls, installed a stunning patio, and constructed raised flower beds from stone. Out came overgrown shrubs and cedar trees. Rose gardens and other perennial, aromatic flowers arose in their place. Tom joined the New England Rose Society to thoroughly learn the art of growing roses. He learned about composting, organic fertilizers and soil pH for the care of his lawn. Tom's background in engineering adds precision to everything that Natural Path Landscaping undertakes and often allows Tom to approach the design and construction from a unique perspective. The engineering background also allows Tom to explore exciting new directions such as designing freestanding granite arches during the winter months.

His property has generated a deep sense of satisfaction and pride, along with constant compliments from random strangers as they walk past the home in Foxboro's Historic District near the center of town.

Now Tom helps others transform their property into their own personal paradise. He especially enjoys bringing out the best in older and historic homes.

"Natural Path Landscaping combines engineering and artistry to deliver truly outstanding results. And to top it off, our project came in on time and on budget. The only surprise was discovering a company that places such a profound emphasis on honesty and work ethic."

"One of your strongest attributes is your flexibility to adjust to the lives of your customers. You had to adjust your plans for weather, my clients, my poor supply choices, etc. But you stayed the course; I got a quality product on time at the price you quoted."
